To access Medicaid based drug and alcohol rehab programs in Montana, you need to be eligible. Alongside the CHIP - the Children's Health Insurance Program - Medicaid has been providing health care coverage for more than 72 Americans struggling with a wide range of disorders, including substance abuse and co-occurring medical and mental health ailments.
To participate in this program, states need to cover particular segments of the population. This is according to federal law. As such, if you have a disability or are from a low income family, you might find that you are eligible.
Other eligibility requirements that could make it possible for you to attend an addiction treatment and rehabilitation program that accepts Medicaid as a form of payment include but are not limited to:
- Being the caretaker or parent of a child
- Being pregnant
- Being disabled
- Being below the age of 19 years
- Being above the age of 65 years
