Medicaid Based Drug and Alcohol Rehab Programs in New York
If you have been diagnosed with an addiction or co-occurring medical and mental health disorders in New York, you might find that you qualify for Medicaid based drug and alcohol rehab programs.
These centers accept Medicaid as a form of payment. Medicaid, on the other hand, a public health care insurance program that is run in partnership between state governments and the federal government.
This program will provide you with help paying for the substance abuse and addiction treatment and other health care services that you need to overcome your dependence on drugs and alcohol.
However, you have to be eligible to be able to access the health care services that are paid for by this program. Each state administers the program independently - with some help from the overall federal government.
